The City of Olathe operates a plastic bag recycling program, which offers residents the opportunity to drop off plastic bags at multiple locations throughout the city.
This program is through NexTrex, who have a goal of removing hurdles that prevent growth of local plastic bag/film recycling initiatives.
Residents continue to expand the program by dropping off more and more plastic. NexTrex has given the City of Olathe park benches in return, which are made out of recycled plastics.
