The City of Olathe was awarded a Safe Streets for All grant which is a follow up to the Safety Action Plan (SAP). The grant will provide funds to progress action items listed in the SAP covering speed limits, a quick-build demonstration project for traffic safety, and road safety audits for priority roadways. This is a great opportunity for the supplemental planning efforts to round out recommended concepts from the SAP and provide before-and-after results to help the community make better decisions for traffic safety. The expected start date for this project is Winter 2026.
