This project will improve 159^th Street from a 2-lane rural section to an improved 2-lane arterial with turn lanes. Improvements will include pavement construction, curb and gutter, streetlights, sidewalks, storm sewer, modifications to the existing stream crossing and a new traffic signal at 159^th St and Brougham Dr.

Project Updates

This project is currently under design. A virtual public meeting was held on Thursday, Feb. 26, to discuss the proposed improvements. An additional public meeting will be held in Summer 2026 to discuss land acquisition needs for this project with impacted property owners. Due to the substantial scope of utility relocations required to construct the roadway improvements, construction will tentatively begin in Spring 2028.
