Two boy scouts stand with their backs to the camera and salute the Kansas and United States flag in the Olathe council chambers.

The City of Olathe is a proud supporter of scouting! We are thrilled to give local scouts the opportunity to learn more about their local government, their community, and the importance of civic engagement.

If your scouts would like to meet with Mayor Bacon, please email Assistant to the Mayor Liz Ruback. Scouts can schedule a time to meet with the Mayor before a City Council meeting. Scouts are also invited to stay for the Council meeting to lead the Pledge of Allegiance and to see their local government in action.

If you are interested in meeting with Police or Fire to fulfill any badge requirements, you can contact Clarissa Banks at the Fire Department or Beth Wendel at the Police Department.

If you are looking for an Eagle Scout or Gold Award project, the City has multiple opportunities. Email Assistant to the Mayor Liz Ruback for more information.

Olathe is a great place to be a scout!
