Jeff was born and raised in rural Central Illinois, graduating from Eastern Illinois University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Business degree. Jeff moved to Olathe in 1984 to serve as Business Manager of the Harlan Parker Insurance Agency - a career that lasted 40 years until full retirement in December of 2024. Active in the community, Jeff has served in a variety of volunteer roles. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys working in his yard and fishing local lakes as well as annual trips to Canada or the north wood of Minnesota.
