All Permit Applications Require:

  • Online Submittal via the Customer Self-Service (CSS) Portal
    24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  •  Homeowner Affidavit
    To be completed by the property owner if performing work on their primary residence without a licensed contractor.
  •  Construction Documents
    Construction documents to be sealed by a design professional, with exceptions below.
  •  Plan Review and Permit Fees
    Invoices will be available for payment via the CSS Portal as the permit is processed and must be paid in sequence to continue the permit application.

Additional Submittal Requirements:

The table below provides a list of documents commonly required for many permit application types.  When sealed documents are specified, one or more Kansas State Licensed Design Professionals are required.  The table below is a guide to the common submittal requirements for these permit types, but special circumstances may apply depending on the nature of the project.

* Typically optional for residential projects, and/or other “non-sealed” requirements apply.
